Last Spring the Student Council put together a wish list for the school and at the top of their list was a playground for the Special Educational Needs Children and for the Junior and Senior Infants. They decided to seek funding for the playground by writing a letter to businesses in Shannon asking for some financial help. They were extremely lucky as Mr. Mick Guinee from EI replied offering to fund our playground. During the summer holidays the playground was built and it was ready for the pupils in September. This is a huge asset to our school and of huge benefit for our SEN children. We would like to thank Mr. Guinee for his generosity.
The Playground was officially opened on the 10th October 2016.
